Public Relations & Communications Research
About Me
Hello, my name is Nadeen Maniord, a public relations specialist with a strong foundation in research, strategic communication, and storytelling. I’m passionate about understanding people, analyzing information, and creating communication strategies that are authentic, effective, and grounded in real insight. Whether I’m working with data, building media strategies, or crafting narratives, I approach every project with clarity, intention, and purpose.
My path into communication began in the most personal way; through conversations with my father, Ron Maniord. He taught me to look closely at the world, to ask questions, and to value meaningful dialogue. Those early discussions about politics, society, and human behavior shaped how I think and helped me recognize the importance of informed, thoughtful communication. His influence continues to guide me, reminding me to lead with integrity, empathy, and curiosity.
Sports have also played a significant role in shaping who I am. Coaching competitive gymnastics has taught me leadership, patience, discipline, and the ability to communicate under pressure. Working with athletes of all ages has strengthened my understanding of teamwork, motivation, and performance. These experiences directly influence my approach to public relations, helping me understand audiences, connect with people, and create messaging that feels genuine and human-centered.
At Cal Poly, I’ve applied these skills through Mustang Media Group and my work in sports media consulting, where I help analyze content performance, understand audience behavior, and strengthen communication strategies. I am particularly passionate about research-oriented work—projects that allow me to explore complex issues, synthesize information, and translate insights into clear, actionable communication.
My goal is to continue building a career where research and communication intersect. I aim to develop strategies that inform, engage, and create meaningful impact, whether I’m working with organizations, communities, or individuals.
