Cal Poly Baseball Recap
For this baseball recap, I attended the game in person and closely followed the action, taking detailed notes on key plays, player performances, and momentum shifts. I combined these observations with statistics and post-game interviews to create a comprehensive recap that accurately captured the story of the game. In addition to writing the article, I developed supporting graphics for social media to highlight key stats and moments, ensuring the recap was both informative and engaging for the audience. This process demonstrates my ability to manage reporting, writing, and visual content creation efficiently.
Feature Story: The Nutcracker
For my feature story The Nutcracker: A Magical Tale with Central Coast Flair, I brought a unique twist by highlighting the production set in Historic San Luis Obispo. I attended the performance to capture the atmosphere firsthand, conducted in-depth interviews with the coordinators, and took original photos to complement the narrative. Using vivid imagery and descriptive storytelling, I conveyed the magic of the show while showcasing the local flavor of the Central Coast, creating an engaging and immersive experience for readers.

From August 2024 to April 2025, I served as Sports Social Media Manager, where I developed every graphic and implemented strategies to enhance engagement across our Instagram platform. By creating visually compelling content and optimizing posting approaches, I successfully increased our following by 86% during my tenure. This role allowed me to combine creative design, data-driven strategy, and storytelling to grow our audience and strengthen the team’s digital presence.
